[BKARTS] GBW Conference in Portland

If the Guild of Book Workers Conference is in your area, I urge you to
check it out. (Next year is in NYC.) The vendors alone are worth a visit
- give yourself plenty of time. I found the other vendor tables
fascinating and a source of valuable information. At the Portland event
there were two UK bookbinding leather suppliers, a vellum supplier from
Europe, marbled and paste paper makers, three handmade paper makers,
tool makers, bookbinding and marbling suppliers from Oregon, Maryland,
NYC, and the UK, and a Japanese paper supplier from Canada. Susan Martin
is in charge of the vendors at the conference and she does a super job.

I was there with my books on bookbinding, artists books,
calligraphy and illumination. Here are some of the newer or hard-to-find
books that were of particular interest to some of the participants.
