Actually, wood glue is different. Different PVAs have different flexibilities when dry; wood glue is meant to be fairly inflexible when it dries, to hold wood firmly in place. PVA for fabric has more flexibility to allow for the movement of the fabric. Art, craft, and book glues fall somewhere inbetween.
