[BKARTS] Barbara Tetenbaum talk May 13, Portland, OR

This Saturday, May 13th, at 2pm, Barbara Tetenbaum will be giving a
collector's talk at Contemporary Crafts Museum and Gallery in SW
Portland, Oregon.

Nearly 80 books from her artist book collection are on exhibit through
the summer. She will be talking about how this collection came to be,
the currency of being an artist, how these books reflect the ideas she
uses in her own work, and specific information about the books to
further illuminate them.

The collection is comprised of work from US, German, Czech, British and
Japanese book artists, many books from her former professor, Walter
Hamady, and the students she studied together with, books of US artists
that she admires, some historic books and quite a few books from Oregon
College of Art and Craft students and alumni.

The "official" opening is Friday May 19th from 5-7pm.
