[BKARTS] Summer Book Arts Program at Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles



Introduction and Continuing Book  Arts


In this 10 week course students explore and create a variety  of book 
structures including one-of-a-kind hand bound journals,  exposed spine binding, 
Japanese stab binding, accordion fold books, and  unique book structures. New book 
forms introduced each semester.   Class can also accommodate students 
particular book art/structure needs. 

These book forms can be inspirations for photo albums, prototypes for  artists
’ books, writing journals, portfolios and anything else stimulated  by the 
imagination. 
 
No previous experience necessary.  Students develop their  creative talents 
in a loving and supportive environment.
