"The Brightest Heaven of Inventions: 20 Years of Artists' Books from the National Museum of Women in the Arts":

Krystyna Wasserman, Curator of Artists' Books at the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington, DC, will present a slide lecture on Friday, July 21, 7:30 PM, at The Athenaeum Music and Arts Library, 1008 Wall Street, La Jolla. The talk is free and open to the public. Phone: 858.454.5872.

Krystyna will share her experiences as Director of the Library and Research Center at the NMWA and her role in the development of the museum's collection of artists' books. She will talk about an upcoming exhibition planned for the 20th anniversary of the museum, describe how the works in the exhibition will be organized and presented to viewers, and will share her insights as to why so many women excel as book artists.
