Re: [BKARTS] New York City Events and Activities

Absolutely.

Go to the Grolier Club where they have:

September 14 - November 4, 2006. Miniature Designer Bookbindings from the collection of Neale M. Albert. (Second floor gallery)

September 20 - November 25, 2006. Guild of Book Workers Centenary Exhibition. A retrospective of work by notable Guild members, curated by Peter Verheyen, and an exhibition of contemporary work, juried by Karen Hanmer, Richard Minsky, and Don Rash. That exhibit is online at <http://palimpsest.stanford.edu/byorg/gbw/gallery/100anniversary> so can get a sense of what is being shown.

LOCATION: The Grolier Club, 47 East 60th Street, New York City (between Park and Madison Avenues). Click here for a street map of New York showing the Club's precise location.

HOURS: Monday - Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Closed on certain holidays, and for the entire month of August. Admission is free.

Are there any good book exhibits happening that weekend? Any other stores to recommend? Thanks, I'd be so grateful
