[BKARTS] Cataloging software in French

Hello,
I am a historian and bibliophile taking a year off and living in France. I have ended up volunteering my services to catalog a private library of mostly 18th and late 17th century volumes-maybe 2,000 volumes. I've been pretty successful in learning the appropriate vocabulary (veau raciné, filets d'encadrement, etc.). I want to put the catalog into a database program. I could create my own database using Microsoft Access. However, I'm wondering if anyone out there knows of a more specialized DB program, preferably in French, that might make more sense to use.

Many thanks,
Bob Blythe
