[BKARTS] Congratulations To CBPA Alumni Sylvia Alotta

The Center for Book and Paper Arts is proud to congratulate our alumni,
Sylvia Alotta on the debut of her website. The website is the official
unveiling of her bindery, The Sharpest Pencil.

Sylvia graduated from Columbia College Chicago Center for Book and Paper
Arts in 2003, after which she went on to establish The Sharpest Pencil. In
addition to her own successful bindery business, she continues to teach
Intermediate Bookbinding at the Columbia Center for Book and Paper Arts as
well as the Chicago Public Schools by collaborating with instructors on
literacy through integrating Book Arts into the classroom.

As an artist, Sylvia has many talents among them are her beautiful drawings.
The drawings, which were used to create the CBPA's Spring 2004 Community
Brochure, were inspired from her edition of The Exquisite Notes, a detailed
collection of binding instruction and techniques she learned while studying
here at Columbia.
