[BKARTS] Lecture at the Center for Book Arts this Friday

Greetings from the Center for Book Arts:

Join us this Friday, November 17th for a lecture with 2006's Sally R.
Bishop Faculty Fellow, Gary Frost, titled "The Cursor, the Haptic, and
the Mirror". This illustrated presentation will offer insights into
the persistent reading methods and reading behaviors that sustain the
book in the scroll format, in the codex format, and on the computer
screen.

This lecture will be followed on Saturday and Sunday, November 18-19
with a two-day workshop, covering three structures, "The Cartonnage
and Free Leaf" project, the "Transfer Tape Binding", and the
"Post-Digital Sewn Board Binding". There are still two slots
available; call the Center to register at 212-481-0295.

The Sally R. Bishop Faculty Fellowship is a yearly invitation to an
artist/ instructor from outside of New York to come teach a master
class and to give a formal lecture at the Center for Book Arts. We are
pleased to welcome Gary Frost this year.
