[BKARTS] Make a Slate Sculptural Book or a Box in a Day at Studio on the Square, NYC

There is still room in two workshops coming up at the
Studio. Please see website for images and more
details:

ROCK, PAPER, SCISSORS
with Steve Daiber, Weekend
Sat/Sun: 10AM-4PM, Dec 9 & 10
Formed from layers of silt million?s of years ago,
slate?s natural shearing action has made it a perfect
resource for many architectural uses. Using slate
rock, fabricate an accordion and codex book
structure. After you build and bind your sculptural
book, you will fill-in the pages with narrative and
pictoral content, altering the stone?s surface with
scratching, painting, and collage.

A BOX IN A DAY - Makes a great holiday gift!
with Joseph Osina, Saturday 10AM-4PM, December 16
Construct a box with a separate lid, covered with
decorative paper, sized 4"x6" (or similar) for photos,
books, jewelry, or personal objects. Learn the proper
way to measure, cut, glue, and fold corners. Then
customize your piece, as you play with new, fanciful
additions to your enclosure.

Classes are limited to 4-6 students, so don't delay ?
register at Studio on the Square. For more details,
go to: www.StudioOnTheSq.com or call 917-412-4134 &
