[BKARTS] Artists Books workshop in Melbourne

The Transforming Page: A workshop with Dianne Fogwell
Presented by the Australian Print workshop and the State Library of 
Dates: Monday 19 & Tuesday 20 March 2007 (10.00am - 4.00pm both days)

Diannne Fogwell will run this exciting workshop at the Australian print 
workshop, which will include a special curators tour of the exhibition 
'How I entered there I cannot truly say: collaborative works from the 
Edition and Artist Book Studio' on show at the State Library of Victoria 
(16 March - 17 June 2007). Participants are asked to bring a selection of 
their images to discuss with Dianne. Participants will explore the 
possibilities of transforming their work into book form, making 
multi-layered images utilizing stenciled, printed and various other 
techniques. Image and technique, paper and page, fonts and text will be 
approached from Dianne's unique perspective, developing creative ideas 
organically and collaboratively. This class is suitable for artists with 
some experience of printmaking.

Tutor: Dianne Fogwell is the former Lecturer in Charge of the Edition and 
Artist Book Studio at the Australian National University in Canberra. For 
10 years at E+ABS she ran a program of artist-in-residences with leading 
printmakers and artists from around Australia. Dianne's work is 
represented in national and international collections. She was co-founder 
of Studio One and Founder/Director of the Criterion Press and Fine Art 
Gallery, Canberra.
