Join other book artists from around the country for an intensive week of
workshops and dialogue with the best and brightest of the book arts
In addition to hands-on workshops, participants will enjoy a keynote lecture
by AA Bronson, panel discussions, special Minneapolis arts outings, a trade
fair, and the opening of MCBA¹s exhibition of African American book artists,
printmakers, and paper artists curated by Amos Paul Kennedy.

AA Bronson is director of Printed Matter, the world¹s largest non-profit
organization dedicated to the promotion of publications made by artists.
Bronson was a founding member of the artists¹ collective General Idea and
co-founder of Art Metropole.

Evenings will include an opening reception for Symposium, tours and MCBA
activities, field trips, and an opening reception for the exhibition curated
by Amos Paul Kennedy.

On the afternoon of Saturday, July 28, Symposium 2007 will end with ³The Big
Thing,² a huge collaborative bookish endeavor created by Symposium
attendees, plus a backlot BBQ.

$390 for a weeklong Symposium Pass if purchased by June 1, 2007
$450 for a weeklong Symposium Pass if purchased after June 1, 2007
There is a $100 supply fee for the week of workshops

$250 for a two-day workshop, plus a $45 supply fee
$50 for a half-day workshop on Saturday, plus a $10 supply fee
$95 to participate only in lectures and panel discussions
