[BKARTS] Biliofiles exhibition is now online

Hi there!
The Paper Studio has been delighted with the response to the current exhibition by ABBA (A Buncha Book Artists). The show titled Bibliofiles, is an attempt to address that diversity by creating a simple contrast. Working with the title and its bureaucratic associations, ABBA has designed an installation where the method of presentation (using the drab, anonymous, repetitive filing systems of the everyday office) is placed in sharp contrast to the eclectic range works that it contains. Artists' books continually resist any attempts at categorization, and this installation is way of making that fact explicit.

ABBA is an Arizona State University student-run organization of interdisciplinary artists and writers working in the contemporary artist book movement. Their focus is the making, exhibiting, and promoting artists' books as well as educating the public about the potential of the book as an art form. The organization consists of undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, and independent artists of all experience levels.

One of the fabulous things about this exhibition is that all the books can be handled! If you happen to be in the Tempe Arizona area, the closing reception is Friday March 30 from 6-8 pm. The show will run through March 31st. Otherwise you can see the show online at www.paperstudio.com
