[BKARTS] Visual Studies Workshop Press | CALL FOR WORK

Visual Studies Workshop Press is currently selecting artists¹ books to be
exhibited in conjunction with Columbia College Chicago Center for Book and
Paper Arts conference Action/Interaction, June 8-July 7, 2007. If you live
in or near Rochester, NY and would like to submit work for the exhibition,
please note the guidelines below:
1) Select no more than two books made in the last 5 years (since 2002)
2) Complete the attached form
3) Deliver the book(s) to VSW¹s back building between the hours of 8:30 am
and 6:30 pm, Friday April 20th where you will be greeted by Kris Merola or
Tate Shaw, regional jurors of this exhibition
4) Be prepared to answer questions about your work and allow time for
reading and a photograph to be taken?you will take your book(s) with you
when you leave VSW
5) If your book is selected, be prepared to deliver it to VSW no later
than May 1, 2007
Please note: There is limited space for viewing and very few enclosed cases
in the exhibition space. Special consideration will be placed on those books
that can be handled by gallery viewers. The conference committee has
suggested that its regional jurors consider loosely what an artists¹ book
is, and VSW is prepared to accept your definition of book, no matter how
broad that may be.
