[BKARTS] Black/ White [and Read]



Pleas join us for the opening reception for the spring show at the
Center for Book Arts, Black/ White [and Read}, this Friday, April 13
from 6 to 8pm. 
 
Black/White [and Read] seeks to advance an artistic challenge-to
deliver a powerful graphic statement, eschewing color, and utilizing
solely black and             white imagery.
 
Works by over 20 artists will be featured, including Tania Baban,
Maria Barbosa, G. R. Boggs, Inge Bruggemann, Doug Beube, Béatrice
Coron, Pamela Drix, Charles Hobson, Kumi Korf, Mary Ellen Long,
Barbara Lazerus Metz, Werner Pfieffer, Pia Pizzo, Lise Poirier,
Stephen Sidelinger, Robbin Ami Silverberg,    Alice Simpson, Beth
Thielen, Mary Ting, Nik Tongas, Susann Wilbur, Anna Wolf, and Christa
Wolf. 
 
Organized by Gloria Helfgott, Artist and Independent Curator.
Exhibition on view until June 30th, 2007.
Also on view: Featured Artist Project: 2006 Artist-in-Residence
Workspace Program 
The exhibition will showcase new work by Amy Chan, Pablo Helguera,
Jason Lujan, Shervone Neckles, and Tomie Arai produced during their
residency here at the Center.
