[BKARTS] FINAL REMINDER: CNY Book Arts Exhibition Entry Deadline April 16

Just a reminder to everyone that if you are interested in submitting
your work for the Central New York Book Arts Exhibit that all entries
must be received by Monday, April 16. We look forward to receiving your

CNY Book Arts: Celebrating the Book Arts in Central New York
Entry Deadline - April 16, 2007
Since the first CNY Book Arts exhibit
(<http://web.syr.edu/~pdverhey/cnybookarts/>) in 2001, interest in the
book arts has only grown in popularity regionally. In addition to
increasing numbers of practicing book artists, academic interest in the
book arts continues to grow as well. To celebrate this growth CNY Book
Arts will showcase the wide range of book arts being created in the
Central New York region. Works can include fine letterpress printing,
calligraphy, fine and edition binding, artist's books. 
The exhibition will be on display at Syracuse University Library from
June 1 - August 17. An online catalog to the exhibition will also be
To allow for catalog production, works must be received by April 15,
2007. The exhibition will be selected from entries received and limited
to 20 works. Eligible are works by established or beginning (including
student) book artists working in the Central New York region. Works must
have been created between 2004 and the deadline. The exhibition will be
curated by Syracuse University's "Book Arts" class in the College of
Visual and Performing Arts Printmaking Department under the supervision
of David Stokoe, Conservation Librarian, and Peter Verheyen,
Preservation and Digital Access Librarian at the Special Collections
Research Center.
While there is no entry fee, entries must meet the following criteria:
* Entrant must be resident in Central New York (loosely defined as the
Catskills and north).
* Works must have been created between 2004 and the deadline. 
* Include return postage (insured) with their entries.
* Any pieces to be wall mounted must be received framed, and ready to

To enter, please fill out the entry form below completely and send in
the form of an email to Peter Verheyen, <pdverhey@xxxxxxx>. Please print
out a copy of that email and include with your work. Sorry, no
non-emailed entries can be accepted. Entries can be mailed or
hand-delivered (9-5, Mon-Fri) to:
