If you are handy with a scanner, find a sample of the handwriting that you prefer, and then go to <http://www.fontifier.com/>, a service that will convert scanned handwriting to a font for $9. Download their template. Instead of filling it out by hand, scan the letters from your sample and insert them in the proper slots using Photoshop or another image editor. With a little trial and error you will be able to get a very usable, historically accurate font.
