[BKARTS] Fall Workshops at MN Center for Book Arts

The Fall Schedule of Workshops is now available in print and online:
http://www.mnbookarts.org/workshops/intro.html

September starts things off with a mix of fundamentals and special topics
including:

*Intro to Bookbinding (Sept. 15-16):
Learn four bindings from professional binder/ book conservator Jana
Pullman.

*Beginning Typography (four Wednesdays starting Sept. 19):
If you've had a little press exposure, but would like to learn more about
the history and conventions of typography -- as well as how to incorporate
design in typesetting -- graphic designer and book artist Chandler O'leary
provides an excellent introduction.

*Low Tech Stencil and Screen Printing (Sept. 22-23)
Want to incorporate the look and feel of screen printing into your posters
or artists books? Graphic designer and artist Curt Lund takes you through
methods you can use in your home or studio in this workshop for beginners.

*Little Boxes (Sept. 29-30)
Learn traditional box-making techniques from an artist who is known for her
work with small forms. We are lucky to have Jody Williams, who teaches her
techniques at centers and universities across the country, at MCBA this
September to teach this workshop.

More in-depth descriptions and instructor bios -- as well as the rest of our
Workshops and events -- are all available on our website:

And by the way -- Minneapolis is lovely in the fall!!!
