NEW date for Hedi Kyle Workshop: Saturday & Sunday, November 10-11, 2007
    Wunderkabinets: Architectural Book Environments 
 The concept of expansion and contraction will feature prominently as you gather small objects and other ephemera and consciously organize  material into these bindings. Utilizing folds and cuts, large surfaces are minimized into manageable page units. Fold-outs, pockets, pleats, and recesses provide ample locations for your text, images, fragments, and relics. You will bring ideas and objects with which to develop themes and concoct content. 
 The fee for the two-day workshop is $225 for PCB members ($265 for non-members). To register send a check for the full amount to: Philadelphia  Center  for the Book, 728 South Broad Street , 2nd floor,  Philadelphia ,  PA 19146 . Include your address and phone number.   Hedi Kyle, a teacher and mentor to many book artists in the area, is internationally known for her contribution to book arts. Her one-of-a-kind constructions have been exhibited internationally, and are in private and public collections.
