[BKARTS] APHA Conference UCLA 10/11/07-10/13/07

THE AMERICAN PRINTING HISTORY ASSOCIATION’S 32nd Annual Conference will be held 
on October 11-13, 2007 at UCLA and at the Getty Research Institute in Los Angeles, California. Sixteen scholarly papers will be presented that will focus on the innovations and continuing influence of Aldus Manutius upon printing history, scholarship, typography, type design, and modern fine printing. The papers will be presented in pairs of concurrent panels.

Speakers include: H. George Fletcher, G. Scott Clemons, Michael Cahn, Sue Abbe Kaplan, Gary F. Kurutz, Jeffrey D. Groves (with Alex Hagen and Glennis Rayermann), Irene Tichenor, Marcia Reed, Graham Moss, Sumner Stone, Alastair Johnston, Gerald Lange, Hrant Papazian, Chris Chapman, Bruce Whiteman, Daniel de Simone, and Martin Antonetti.

Early registration materials must be received by September 10. Fees are slightly higher after that date.
