[BKARTS] Presentation on Harcourt Bindery tonight

Please excuse cross posting.

Event Reminder! Tonight! Free and open to all!

The Harcourt Bindery
Film screening and Lecture
with Sam Ellenport
Watertown Free Library
Watertown, MA
September 12, 2007. 6:00 PM

The New England Chapter of the Guild of Book Workers is pleased to present a
lecture by Sam Ellenport of The Harcourt Bindery, the largest hand bindery
in the United States. Sam has produced two DVDs, Bookbinding at The Harcourt
Bindery, and Nineteenth Century Bookbinding Techniques at The Harcourt
Bindery. These DVDs document how work is done at the bindery, which dates
from 1900. We will screen excerpts, and Sam will give a talk on the bindery.
As the Harcourt Bindery is moving and changing hands, this is a wonderful
opportunity to hear from its master binder in chief and to recognize his
important legacy.

This event will take place in the Watertown Savings Bank Meeting Room at the
Watertown Free Public Library and is free and open to the public.
