Re: [BKARTS] source for shark leather suitable for bookbinding?

Snake can be had at Tandy leather. Just bought a diamondback rattler. Also some shoe repair places. There's a tiny around the corner from my house that has watersnake from Thailand...

Otherwise, Henk DeGroot in Holland has many of these exotics. Those who attend the Guild of Book Workers annual conference will know him. His website is at http://www.dedas.com/parchment/. Also recommended by folks is Dick Fine Tools in Germany at http://www.dick.biz/. Click on the British flag for English navigation... Falkiners Fine Papers (part of the Shepherds empire) also has a wide selection of exotics, including many fishes... See http://store.falkiners.com/store/category/31/149/Fish/ for more info.

What's the aversion to eBay?
