Brooklyn Museum Library Lecture Series:

Saturday April 5th from 3-4 pm in the Brooklyn Museum Library Reading Room

Andy Birsh and Davin Kuntze, from Woodside Press,  will speak about the elements of the book format. Their talk will encompass the changing typography, papers, and bindings in use before and since the days of Gutenberg.  Selected rare books from the Museum Library will be on view.

Mr. Birsh is the proprietor of Woodside Press, in the Brooklyn Navy Yard, one of the largest fine letterpress printing studios in New York.  Mr. Kuntze is a trained bookbinder, printer, and graphic designer who lives in Crown Heights.
