Re: [BKARTS] printer's blocks

Jet, you might try removing the wood and ordering custom aluminum blocks from a manufacturer of new metal dies, then attaching the new metal backing with heat sensitive tape made for this purpose.? (The tape requires a higher temp than the stamping which is how the metal components stay attached during the process.)?

Of course, the kind of metal used to make the decorative blocks will determine the?temperature necessary for hot-stamping them; hopefully it won't be beyond the melting point of the decorative metal component.

I purchased what I thought were decorative blocks for hot stamping and they
turned out to be printer's blocks instead--- i.e., metal backed with wood. Can
these be used for hotstamping too? Obviously, my Kwikprint machine won't be of
any help. I do have a temperature controlled hot plate.
