[BKARTS] Seattle Center for Book Arts seeks instructors

*Seattle Center for Book Arts is looking for instructors to teach book arts
workshops to middle and high school youth at various Seattle Public Library
branches in 2009. These workshops are an expansion of a similar program we
are running this year and are sure to be lots of fun and a great opportunity
to spread the love of book arts to Seattle youth.

We are planning to offer two sets of free, drop-in workshops. Both sets of 3
workshops will hopefully be held at every Seattle Public Library branch.
Individual workshops will focus on one simple book structure, such as the
pamphlet stitch, one sheet/cut & fold books, accordions with pop-ups, flag
books, etc. Workshops will last 2-3 hours. Dates are not set yet, but
workshops are expected to run throughout 2009, with an emphasis on summer.

Instructors will be paid $40/hr and will have an assistant throughout each
workshop. All materials and handouts will be provided by SCBA. Instructors
will be required to attend a 1 to 2 hour paid orientation before workshops

If you are interested in participating in this great opportunity, please
send the following to yuka@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx :

* Full contact info
* Resume (not to exceed 2 pages)
* 1 to 3 JPG work samples with descriptions

*Application Deadline: Tuesday, April 22, 2008
*If you would like to participate, but can't submit the materials in time
(it's very soon, we apologize), please contact Yuka.
