Re: [BKARTS] señor@s was strange typo in recent book s from Latin America

Scott;

It is probably meant to be written, not spoken.

What Marriage tax?

One more surrender of language to the PC tsunami. Note, however, that
'señorita' is not covered by señor@s. Uh-oh. Do I detect reverse marital
status discrimination (like the marriage tax in the US);{)>

How does one pronounce the final vowel in 'señor@s'?

Hi,
That makes sense. It is a great way to use that symbol!

Linde,
Not a typo, not an autocorrection. It has become a way to denote both
genders, without having to say "amigos y amigas" when both sexes are
present. Amig@s means both genders at once: the@ symbolizing both A and O.
