Re: [BKARTS] Rayon thread

Melanie,

You can buy rayon thread at your local sewing store. I have only made a few
headbands, but my understanding is that rayon is not durable enough for
headbands -- it frays easily and does not wear well. Silk is better (except
for the core of the headband), and you can get it at the sewing store or
even at a craft store sometimes, in fairly short lengths on wrapped around a
square cardboard "spool". Or you could mail order from book arts suppliers.
I have a list of suppliers on this page:

Hope this helps.

Subject: [BKARTS] Rayon thread

Dear All,

I am looking for a source of headband material.   Basically I need to find a
source of rayon thread that can be used to make headbands.

I was wondering if anyone know of any manufacturer of rayon thread at all.

Thanks.

Melanie
