Unfortunately, it is the downside of the free market capitalism. Should we resuscitate the guild system?

Yes, this really annoys me actually... they're underpricing their work, but at the same time, they're devaluing everyone else's work. It's the same in the photography biz where 'semi-professional' photographers do the work on the cheap at a price where it would not be viable if they did it as their main source of income. But that price is OK for them because it's a little money on the side... but it means that 'real' photographers that do it for a living miss out on sales, and clients expect them to price their work the same.
