[BKARTS] Portland Workshops

Just a reminder not to miss some great upcoming workshops at the Oregon College of Art & Craft:

Tomorrow the 31st is an inexpensive one-day workshop on PAPERMAKING with Helen Hiebert where you can make some paper for your new artist book project or for a valentine for your sweetie!

Another great opportunity is a workshop by visiting artist Heather Green called POETICS AND TIME - ANIMATION FOR MUTOSCOPES which is March 7 & 8. The mutoscope is an early form of animation and combines simple digital photography with the book form. Here is more about Heather Green:

Her projects and installations employ an extensive range of media including traditional oil painting, letterpress, websites, mechanical animation, artist books, sculpture and photography. Her work focuses on the importance of biodiversity and ecology and examines nuances of place, memory and natural phenomenon.

OCAC has an array of workshops for all levels and all price ranges this semester - for more information please visit ocac.edu. Once there, click on 'Programs,' then 'Community Programs,' and then under Studio School Adult Continuing Education click 'More.'
