Dear Bill,

To thin goatskin I have a lot of success using a company called
"Hohenforst Splitting" the contact is Rick Hohenforst.  His number
is (518) 725-0012.  He is located in NY. He will do splitting of all leathers
and in pretty much any thickness you need.  He's not in the Austin area,
but as I'm sure you know this is a very specialist job and there are not
many people who do it and it's not that hard to ship it back and forth.  I
am in LA but I've had him do 100's of different things for me and all
have come out very well.

quite heavy substance, that I'd like to cut to about half the thickness.
