[BKARTS] Before the Book



*Before the Book*, a special topics undergraduate and graduate-level course,
will be offered 4 June-12 July 2009 at Boise State University.  The five
week course will focus on pre-codex materials and structures.  Materials
supplied include clay, papyrus, bear/bison/cow/deer/and elk scapula, stone
and aspen.  Field trips include visits to museum cuneiform tablet
collections and expeditions to Idaho clay pits, Idaho petroglyphs, and
groves with Basque arborglyphs.  For more information contact T. Trusky.
