Coordinator, Public Service Programs

Working Title: 
Conservator

Location: 
Milner Library, Illinois State University, Normal, Illinois. 

Summary:  
Under the direction of the Preservation Librarian, the Conservator determines, prioritizes, performs and supervises conservation and restoration treatments on a wide variety of library and archival materials   

Required Qualifications: 
Bachelors Degree plus one of the following: Certification from a recognized conservation training program OR Successful completion of a formal apprenticeship program with a professional book and paper conservator lasting two years OR 2-3 years advanced training and/or benchwork with significant experience in book conservation.

Salary: 33,500-35,000/yr; commensurate with experience.
