Re: [BKARTS] Casing a series of varying height

If available, see pg. 60 in "William Anthony, Fine Binder" ed. by Lawrence
Yerkes; Univ. IA Libraries (2005).

It shows, "Sixty-one pamphlets in paper covers, boxed". The bindings are all
labeled at the same height, as was previously suggested.

Subject: Casing a series of varying height

I am re-casing a married series of 7 vols., published over several
years and printed by various printers. The text blocks vary in
height by up to one-half inch. What is the custom in this situation:
to keep the squares equal (resulting in books not uniform in height),
or to make the boards equal in height (resulting in squares of
varying size)?
