Workshop:
May 31, 2009. Sunday, 9:30-4 Exploring the Miniature Book II: Case Bound and Scrolling Books
$100 + $15 materials fee
Expand your bookmaking skills! In the morning you will make a case bound book with sewn pages, a traditional hardbound blank book. In the afternoon you will made the unique and innovative "scrolling book," a binding structure created by Peter and Donna to fuse Western and Eeastern bookbinding structures. Bring a haiku's worth of words, and if time allows you can add images and/or text to the scrolling book.

May 30, 2009. Saturday, 9:30-4 Exploring the Miniature Book I: Basic Bookbinding and Accordion Books
$100 + $15 materials fee
Develop or expand your bookmaking skills in this workshop which offers basic bookbinding instruction, discussion of concepts and techniques for the book arts and hands on bookmaking. By the end of the day you will create three different miniature books: a pocket accordion books, a case bound accordion book and a nested accordion book. IF time allows you can add images and/or text to the books. Come prepared with a quote, or a "miniature" idea.
